Meet the Family
The Cast
We are a multi-generational family running our small ranch. There are many of us involved, but these are the main cast.
The Cornings
We are transplants mostly from Wisconsin. Some of us have been in the Tucson area for close to 20 years, but many more of us have moved here as time goes on. We hope to get the final sister to move down to Tucson sooner than later, but for now we have Oma (Ruth), Papa (Paul), Cybil, Andy, and their kids, Caitlin, Andrew and their kids.
The Leads
Cybil
The Owner/Dreamer
Cybil and her husband Andy own the land and live onsite. Cybil is a surgeon by day, an equestrian by determination, a student forever and a dreamer/visionary by all meanings of the word. She wanted to ride, so she got horses, she wanted to make fiber for weaving, now we have goats. Cybil dreams big and gets the ball rolling on almost all the projects at the ranch.
Oma (Ruth)
The Manager
Oma and Papa moved down here a few years ago after retiring. Now Oma spends most of her time at the Ranch. She and Rebel are soulmates, riding together in the park, the neighborhood and beyond almost everyday. She is the day to day hard worker, doing many of the chores, helping with the ongoing projects and generally loving all the animals with her whole heart.
Caitlin
The Worker Bee
Caitlin and family moved back to Tucson after seven years of living in the PNW. Caitlin is the Jill of all trades. Currently a hairstylist and mom of 2 small kids, previously a costumer/backstage hand in theatre, Caitlin has many subsets of skills and loves to learn new ones. As the ranch-hand, she does welding, construction (often with help from Andrew), infrastructure type jobs. She lives just a couple miles from the Ranch and has a big garden that will hopefully feed the whole family soon.

The Supporting Actors
We couldn’t do it without them. No, really, we couldn’t.
Andy
Andy is the unwitting partner to the ranch life Cybil dreams of. He helps when needed, says yes to Cybil’s crazy plans and gives treats to all the animals whenever they feel needed. Andy works from home most days, so he can keep an eye on the shenanigans and keep things in line.
Andrew
Andrew is the partner with the tools. When the girls can’t quite do the job, Andrew comes in with all the right tools, knowledge and know how to get the job done. An engineer by day makes sure the job gets done right the first time.
Papa
Papa makes sure things keep running, even when they should have perished many years ago. When the Space Shittle isn’t running right, he’s the man for the job. Think of the dad from Christmas Story and his furnace, and you can picture Papa with his Shittle.
